Christopher Place Employment Academy provides training for job readiness, career and interpersonal skills, and independent living to formerly homeless men. The residential program assists participants with finding and maintaining full-time employment at a living wage and stable, permanent housing

bulletAccording to the FBI, 1 out of every 4 women is a victim of domestic violence at least once in her lifetime.
bulletIn 55% of the cases where men are assaulting their partners, they are also assaulting their children. The battered mother may be suffering from such physical and psychological injuries that she cannot meet the needs of her children appropriately.
bulletThe Surgeon General of the United States reports that 1 out of 5 women battered by their partners have been victimized over and over again by the same person.
bulletThe American Medical Association defines domestic violence as an ongoing, debilitating experience of physical, psychological, and/or sexual abuse.

Al-Anon

Alcoholism is a family disease. Living with the effects of someone else's drinking is too devastating for most people to bear without help. In Al-Anon we learn individuals are not responsible for another person's disease or recovery from it. If you are bothered by someone's drinking, Al-Anon is for you! An Al-Anon meeting is held every Thursday from 8:30-9:30 PM at St. Casimir New Meeting Room. If you have further questions, you can call Peggy at 410-282-8891 or the parish office.
